A Betrayed Youth: The MJSAC at the Heart of a Vast Scandal

The latest investigative report published by the "Together Against Corruption" (ECC) Movement sheds harsh light on alarming abuses within the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC). This document, the result of a meticulous investigation, reveals systematic practices of embezzlement, favoritism, and opaque management that undermine the very foundations of the State and betray the trust of an entire generation. At a time when youth demand opportunities, transparency, and a dignified future, the ECC report's revelations sound like a thunderclap: fictitious envelopes, phantom projects, funding of partisan activities under the guise of civic initiatives. Millions intended for young entrepreneurs, sports centers, or civic training programs were allegedly redirected to parallel channels for the benefit of a few elites. The most serious aspect is not only the scale of the embezzled sums but the methodical coldness with which this corruption has become institutionalized. Well-oiled mechanisms, with the silent or even active approval of high-ranking officials, illustrate a deeply rooted culture of impunity. Is it necessary to recall that the MJSAC is supposed to be a pillar of the State in building active, inclusive, and equitable citizenship? When this ministry becomes the scene of cynical predation, the entire republican ideal falters. But this report is also an opportunity. A chance, perhaps unique, to break a cycle. For while indignation is legitimate, it is no longer enough. It is now necessary to demand action: judicial proceedings, independent audits, a structural reform of the ministry, and above all, direct involvement of young people in the reconstruction of the institutions intended for them.
